10 Useful WordPress plugins

WordPress plugins and their usefulness do not really require an explanation, but in case you are new to the blogging world, let us enlighten you. In short they enhance your blog both in appearance, and its manageability. Both of these factors will serve you, and your readership.

The easier, clearer, and more appealing your blog is to read and manage by your readers, the more likely people will subscribe, follow, and spread the word about your blog. Dugg Widget. This is cool because it allows you to insert the last ten posts that have made it on Digg into the sidebar of your blog. Not only can you keep track of what has been dug, it also gives you a cool way of boasting.

FriendFeed Activity Widget. As you can imagine and have no doubt deduced. This lets you share a post with friends. It is dead easy to use as well.

Friendfeed Comments. This plugin lists the number of times an article has been marked as a favourite. It also displays the comments from the friend feed section of your site. Nice!

Stumble Reviews. This plugin allows you to display any reviews from stumble upon that a page of your site has received. This is obviously a great way to promote your work.
Twitter Updater. This plugin allows you to send a tweet from your site, every time you update your blog. The tweet will show as a tiny URL. Kind of cool when you think about it.

WordPress Twitter Widget. This plugin displays your @username in your side bar, and any related avatars you may have.

WP-Profilactic This baby allows you to build your site around your Profilacticprofilactic Lifestream account, if you wish to do so. The advantage here is that your readers can view your social network accounts that you may have. As long as you have under two hundred that is!
