They say that love does not always have to have. Perhaps the sentence is true but to get to the conclusion it was not a minor struggle. John Tyree (Channing Tatum), for example, to prove her love for Savannah Lynn Curtis (Amanda Seyfried) is not a way to have Savannah.
While on leave from duty in the military, John accidentally introduced to Savannah and Tim (Henry Thomas). In a short time, love grows in the hearts of John and Savannah. Unfortunately John still had to finish the job in the military before he could propose Savannah. When separated, John promised that he would soon return to Savannah that could woo wait until John returned.
Right at the time of John’s over the task, the tragic event of 11 September that made John change his mind. John felt that his strength is still needed and decided to go on duty even though he was eager to go home to see Savannah. John and Savannah a year apart and at the same time, the closeness between Savannah and the team started to turn into love.
When the service was over, John went home only to find Savannah and Tim have been married. The team was very ill and almost no hope to live but at a time like this, John was still able to prove that love was not always have to have.
